Leave a bequest in your will
ALHT has received generous bequests that are used solely to strengthen heritage collections. Please discuss this option with your lawyer or financial adviser. Contact ALHT if you wish to ensure we will be able to carry out your wishes.
Sample wording for your will is:
'I give to Auckland Library Heritage Trust [ ___% of my estate OR the residue of my estate OR the sum of $___ ] to be used as the Auckland Library Heritage Trust decides for the furtherance of its charitable purpose which is to support the development, maintenance, preservation restoration and scientific packing of the Auckland Council’s collection of books, manuscripts, photographs and other records of historical significance. I declare that the official receipt of an authorised officer of the Auckland Library Heritage Trust shall be an absolute discharge for my executors.'
